RYA Cruising instructor course
An advanced course for holders of the Yachtmaster Offshore certificate who would like to become an RYA Instructor.
This 5 day course is best suited to advanced sailors who hold an RYA Yachtmaster Offshore and wish to become an RYA instructor.
Successful candidates will be able to teach Competent Crew and Day Skipper practical courses at any RYA accredited Training Centre worldwide.
The standards required to become an RYA Cruising Instructor are high. Candidates will be expected to have done preparation prior to the course and be conversant with the RYA syllabus for Competent Crew and Day Skipper.

| Pre-entry assessment | Candidates are required to pass an online pre-course module prior to being eligibile to attend the course. |

Five day course with a second Trainer joining on the final day as course moderator. |
| Qualified to teach | Can instruct RYA practical courses up to the level of Day Skipper anywhere in the world. |
| Validity |
Five years, after which candidates will need to attend a RYA Cruising Instructor revalidation. Revalidation is carried out over one day on the water. |

Logistics:
The instructor will contact you with the appropriate details regarding the course logistics. Basic considerations are a warm sleeping bag, foul weather gear and suitable footwear. Meals will be on board apart from meals ashore when in a port-of-call. Travelling to and from the boat will be at the student’s expense.

Registration Details
50% deposit to hold a place on course. Preferred payment method (Canada): Interac Email Payment. Please use email address: payment@topmast.ca. For payments originating outside Canada please contact us for credit card payments (2.50% surcharge to cover all credit card fees, domestic or International). Thank you in advance. Cancellation policy: greater than 6 weeks – full refund (less $150 admin fee). 4-6 weeks 50% refund. Under 4 weeks – No Refund. Topmast reserves the right to cancel any course. Our liability is limited to the course fee. You are advised to arrange cancellation insurance. Make payment PRIOR to the commencement of your course. If you have any complaints then please forward them to info@tomast.ca within 72 hours of course completion.
