Jan 5, 2022

Fintan Hartnett is the Principal and Chief Instructor at Topmast Maritime Training and an RYA Yachtmaster Instructor as well as Sail Canada and ASA instructor.

Topmast is committed to conducting courses in a safe and responsible manner to ensure the health and safety of our students and Instructors.

At Topmast we are mandated by the Emergency Management and Civil Protection Act and will act accordingly. We carefully examine regulations and recommendations regarding Sail training in the current pandemic.

CURRENT STATUS: Our best understanding of the current situation is that – OMICRON RESTRICTIONS MEAN NO TRAINING AT THIS TIME.

The situation may change but we can only speculate what changes will entail and when.

The earliest we currently expect to be on the water for sail training: in 2022 is in May.

Please stay safe and thanks for everyone’s patience.
